RegSir (regsir.net, the "Platform") is an AI-assisted query tool for the rules and regulations of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). Through its own regulatory knowledge base, the Platform provides users with preliminary compliance information and query analysis, with citations to official provisions.
Users must not:
Users warrant they are entitled to input and upload the content they submit, and that doing so breaches no duty of confidentiality (including section 378 of the Securities and Futures Ordinance) or third-party rights.
The Platform's software, design, knowledge-base structure and brand assets belong to the Platform or its licensors. Users retain rights in the query content they input; Platform output is licensed to users on a non-exclusive basis for internal business use during the paid period.
Copyright in the ordinances, subsidiary legislation, codes, guidelines and circulars cited or included by the Platform belongs to the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the SFC respectively; the Platform uses them for retrieval and citation only, and cited content is governed by officially published versions.
The Platform is provided "as is". Although all answers carry official provision citations for verification, the Platform does not warrant that output is fully accurate, complete or applicable to any specific case. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss arising from use of or reliance on its output. The Platform's aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the fees paid by the user in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in this clause excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
All Platform output is a first draft. Users who adopt or send output without review by their compliance officer or lawyer do so at their own risk.
The collection and use of user data is governed by the Platform's Privacy Policy, which complies with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). Neither we nor our AI service providers use your query text to train any large language model; de-identified usage records are used to improve the Platform's own retrieval and quality-assessment functions — see paragraph 02A of the Privacy Policy.
The Platform may amend these Terms at any time; material changes will be notified to users by email or platform notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. The Platform may suspend or terminate the account of any user in breach of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
